What is the least expensive bleacher system?
Generally in small seating requirements the least expensive system will be the Silver Edition systems, requiring a level area with a concrete slab.
What lead time times can be anticipated for bleacher seating?
For custom horizontal beams a good rule of thumb would be 180 days, although we can supply standard Silver Edition angle frames in a shorter duration.
Is 18' spacing the only possible lateral spacing for your columns for a horizontal beam grandstand?
No. Depending on your requirements, the spacing can be modified but the efficiency of design will not be fully utilized.
What is the maximum we can span front to back between column rows?
Typical spacing from 12' to 16' but steel sizes can be modified for increased widths.
Can we utilize the space under the bleacher?
Yes, but code requires separation between different types of occupancy.
Is handicap access to the press box required?
Per IBC 2003, handicap access is not required if the press box is less than 500 square feet.
Can we have reserved seating with backrests on an existing grandstand?
The treads must be a minimum of 30" in order to add backrests seating.
How can you give your grandstand character? Are there color options?
Yes, powder coat or Dur-kyn finish riser colors are available and custom colors can be matched if an adequate volume is to be used. A front façade also adds to the aesthetics.
What is the minimum required tread depth to install backrests?

What is the minimum required tread depth to install chairs?

Is chain link fencing the only choice for fencing?
No, vinyl covered chain link and vertical picket railings are an option.
If press box handicapped access is required, how do we get there?
Elevator access is the obvious choice, however, we can also furnish accessible stairways with inclined wheelchair lifts or ramp towers.
Can you build a grandstand on a sloped site?
Yes, using the horizontal beam under-structure, the height of the columns can be adjusted based on the topo map or site survey furnished by the owner.
Is the decking system water tight?
The Interlock 2000 decking system with gutters is very water resistant, not water tight.
Can we build above buildings?
Yes, the layout and design for the bleachers needs to be coordinated with the architectural layout for the buildings below to allow for proper support of the grandstand. | |
