CHAMBERSBURG, Penn. - September 27, 2006 - The Southern Bleacher Company, based in Graham, TX., scored a win with its recent completion of Trojan Stadium in Chambersburg, Penn.
The new stadium, which has a total seating capacity of over 7,000, is sure to entice more crowds and welcome home and visiting-team fans, alike.
The construction, which began in April, was completed in time for the first home football game in early September. It was constructed under the careful direction of general contractor, Waynesboro Construction Company.
A special ceremony is set to dedicate the $6.5 million facility with the presence of former players, coaches, key builders and decision-makers who played a major role in the construction of the stadium.
Southern Bleacher renovations included additional home-side stadium seating, a new press box and renovations to the visitor bleachers; they also added synthetic turf, a running track, concession stands, restrooms, ticket booths and parking lots.
Designed by Crabtree, Rohrbaugh, and Associates in Mechanicsburg, Penn., the stadium sits integrated into the high school campus. Colored risers and vertical picket railings are among the details that enhance Trojan's stadium overall design.
This unique stadium, fabricated and installed by Southern Bleacher, allows fans to experience the full extent of the competition being waged on the playing field.
