Rosemont, Ill., March 14, 2011

The Southern Bleacher Company, based in Graham, Texas, has been contracted to build Rosemont Field in Rosemont, Ill., a grandstand professional softball facility that will become the new home to women's softball favorites the Chicago Bandits. Completion of Rosemont Field is slated for June 1, in time for the Bandits to kick off their 2011 season.

Southern Bleacher has brought together some of the most respected experts in the industry for the project. The company will again partner with DLR Group, the architects behind Southern Bleacher's recent sports facilities at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. and high school facilities in Aurora and Bradley, Ill. The project team will also include Northern Builders, a development and construction company that has built major facilities throughout Illinois, including the Life Fitness National Headquarters and Sales Center in Schiller Park.

As many as 1,554 fans will be able to cheer on the Bandits from the comfort of award-winning, American-made stadium chairs by Interkal in Kalamazoo, Mich., the company behind the seating at the NFL's Carolina Panther's/Tennessee Titan's Stadiums and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, to name just a few facilities.

"This is a great group of athletes with a lot of support, and we're proud that Rosemont chose Southern Bleacher to help create an awesome experience for both the team and their fans" said Garrett Pettus, vice president of Southern Bleacher.

The bandits have played National Pro Fast-pitch (NPF) since 2005 and took the 2008 NPF Championship Series and Cowles Cup Trophy with a victory that capped a 15-game winning streak in a season that also saw them hit a phenomenal 51 home runs. Bandit Nicole Trimboli was named Most Valuable Player of the 2008 Championship Series. Former Bandit and gold- and silver-medal Olympian Jennie Finch, now one of People Magazine's "celebrity baby bloggers," was named 2009 Female Athlete of the Year by the Amateur Softball Association of America.
